1. CROSSING OVER IS BY GOD’S MERCY
Crossing into the new year is not by your deeds or efforts but by God’s grace. Acknowledge the giver of life, who made it possible for you to see the New Year.
Take a moment to reflect on His faithfulness to your life and family. Praise Him and do not take His acts for granted.https://evangelistjoshua.com/crossover-prayers-for-the-new-year-2025/
(Lamentations 3:22-23)
“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
2. IT IS IMPORTANT TO COMMAND THE YEAR
Before diving into the New Year, centre your heart in prayer. In moments of transition, especially as we cross into a new year, begin with gratitude and recognition of God’s sovereignty. Speak life and blessings into the New Year through prayers and declarations. The power of your words, coupled with faith, can set the tone for a prosperous and peaceful year. Each day should also be commanded with thanksgiving and positive affirmations.
(Job 22:28)
“You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you, And light will shine on your ways.”
3. YOU ARE NOT IN COMPETITION WITH ANYONE
Do not compare yourself to others. Jealousy and envy breed discontentment. Instead, focus on running your race at God’s pace for your life. Trust His timing and direction, knowing that your journey is uniquely designed.
(2 Corinthians 10:12)
“For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.”
4. YOU NEED TO BE INTENTIONAL
This year, intentionality should be your greatest asset. It means being purposeful in every decision, action, and relationship. Identify your goals and align your daily habits with those ambitions. Don’t let time slip away on distractions or procrastination. Be deliberate with your time, energy, and resources.
(Proverbs 16:3)
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
5. IT PAYS TO BE DILIGENT
This year, shun idleness and put in the effort to achieve your goals. Depend on God, not people, for provision, but play your part diligently. If necessary, consider taking on multiple jobs to secure financial stability and independence. People are more likely to support those who are actively working rather than idle.
(Ecclesiastes 9:10)
“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might”
6. IT IS WISE TO INVEST THAN SAVE
While savings can help in emergencies, investing opens the door to greater opportunities. Explore feasible ventures that promise growth. Do not be afraid to take risks, but avoid reckless ones that could lead to loss or despair. Plan thoughtfully, and trust God to bless your efforts.
(Proverbs 21:5)
“The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.”
7. STUDYING ENHANCES GROWTH
Studying the scriptures and books can be transformative. The Bible anchors your spiritual life, while books enhance your intellectual and practical growth, making you more well-rounded and purpose-driven in all aspects of life.
(2 Timothy 2:15)
“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
By embracing these principles, 2025 can be a year of spiritual growth, financial wisdom, and fulfilment! Start this year with purpose and dedication, trusting that God’s guidance will lead you to success in every area of your life.
